Taylor Mill's Biography
A native to North Carolina, Taylor C. Mills grew up in Henderson, what she claims to be a “small town.” While the area of the county is large, the feel of Henderson is defiantly that of a small town. With old tobacco fields, abandoned factories, railroad tracks that still divide the town, the idea of racial division that still plagues the United States was not a new issue to Taylor. Attending public school from K-12th grades, Taylor was exposed to the good and the bad of a small town, the changing economy, and the pressing issues of the public school system.

This exposure during grade and secondary school helped Taylor to find her passion once she started college. As a rising senior at the University of Richmond, Taylor is a sociology major and has a heart for social justice and racial reconciliation. After attending Intervarsity’s “Race Conference” last February and learning of the CHAT movement from numerous friends, Taylor became involved as a CHAT volunteer this past semester. After forming relationships with many people who are involve with CHAT, God made it apparent through the opening and closing of doors that Church Hill was to be the place for Taylor this summer. She is extremely excited about all that God is going to show her this summer and hopes that God can use her in any and every way to be a positive factor of the Church Hill community.

During her time at the University of Richmond, Taylor has been involved extensively with her sorority, Pi Beta Phi; Panhellenic Council; Every Nation Campus Ministries; Greek Christian fellowship, Rho Iota; and BUILD IT, the university’s largest community service initiative, Her other interest include photography, scrapbooking, reading, running, volleyball, and exploring the city of Richmond. She hopes to attend graduate school for social work or public health in Virginia or North Carolina but is open to anything that God may have in store for her!
