The Interns...my companions. Im so blessed to kno each of you! I've noticed that we're very diifferent. different personalities, styles, backgrounds, goals, interests. yet WE ALL share the desire to become closer to God. I see that in all of us. And to be honest, I dont have too many friends like yall...who have that same passion and level of understanding as me... some, even more. now dont get me wrong. I'm not the type to judge character on the basis of love for God. cuz God loves us even if we dont love Him bak....But its been nice havin friends around who understand where im comin from. who have a certain knowlege of scripture, the mysteries of God, who can share knowlegde and wisdom with me. and who are receptible to wisdom I share...yall were a big part in helping me grow,and in waterin my "seed".(daddy batts)lol...and to think. i was sooo close to not even doin the internship! That woulda been a huge blessin i'd be missin out on.
Like comin into this joint I didnt know anyone. the only person i knew was Aaron. and look wat ended up happening. I've met more people this summer through CHAT than I've met the entire past school year! thats sayin alot about community at VCU. i mean yeah, VCU has tons diversity. However,its like all the cultures stay within their own groups. VCU lacks community big time.
At VCU, ur either: black or white, middle eastern or asian, Ethiopian or African(lol), art kid or computer engineerin geek, pop or indie hippie, greek or a nobody, D.C or 757, Conservative Christian or everything else. ur either this, or that.
...I've talked to my religions prof. more this summer than i did when i was in his class last semester. He goes to Third. And i owe it all to the interns, and instances of "loving thy neighbor" that i've witnessed. Yall have help transform me, and shape me in a way thats more pleasin to God. I appreciate it. and i appreciate Doug (Doog) tryna hook me up.lol...it really shows u care about my current situation of desperation and desire for a man.LOL...and i appreciate Kara givin me a ride every mornin. thanks girl!...and Aaron thanks for bein my right hand man this summer..thanks for ben there for me..but not only that, ur the reason i even applied for the internship! thanks man....and I appreciate Andrea for givin me props at YWAM.(i didnt forget!).and for showin love to everyone,greetin everyone @ devotion w/ a smile...same goes for Ashlee..I appreciate u always being cheerful and optomistic..and thanks for thos great conversations ;) and for walkn w/ me, and the rides as well. Rashad thank u for bein You. for not being ashamed to proclaim ur faith in ur music. and like u always step up and do whatever u feel needs to be done. I appreciate that. Aaron T, thanks for thos riddles...they really made feel smarter whenever i figured the answer out.lol..and thanks for the smiles, they're great!!..Alecia thanks for being interestin and engaging and even funny at times (when u dont mean to be)..and thanks for that great prayer 2day at Taylor's.....So yea, like each of u has given me a gift,,,that God has given u.
