Well I’ve noticed that Ive established a pattern. For the most part I know what my tasks are and when they need to be completed and have come to expect when I don’t know. At tutoring one of the kids said I was his 4th best friend. The criteria couldn’t have been that high to make the list cause we had only interacted for 2 consecutive days. The rest of the list was comprised of other CHAT staff. Is he a lonely kid with not many friends his own age or does he see the value of having older friends or making friends with those in charge. Hmm.

Props to the A team and all their hard work. The picnic table biz is doin ok. We hit a couple of snags (like actually selling them) but with some planning and positive attitudes and all that stuff we can do it!

It’s been discouraging to see when the younger guys lose they’re composure and just become completely unreasonable. Something doesn’t go as they planned or a squabble among peers gets out of hand and they just go nuts. Its just like, they all say mean things to each other or try to air each others business out but at the same time theyre all so sensitive. And maybe it’s a teen thing but there is such a rebellious spirit when they get angry. More or less “you cant control me” comes out in the rant.  But its not all of them and not all the time. Mostly most of them are cool. I fell into the train of thought that went like how do I “fix” them, but as I’ve read that’s wrong.  I just gotta be an example, show love and let God work.

We talked to Battinto Batts and other than the fact that he gave us HOMEWORK he was cool. He talked on the value of having a plan for the future and resumes.

My little brother is visiting me for a couple days up here hopefully we wont bug each other too much.  He’s a cool guy and I wanna see how he gets along with the people here. My dad strongly "encouraged" him to come up here and experience CHAT. He figured it would be a good experience for him. Hope he enjoys himself.

Fourth of July was sick. We did a CHAT slip n slide at the park with the kids and we really enjoyed ourselves. Recently found out at least according to Murray (the boss) lol i took first place. After we had a cook out at the lighthouse and the kids from Burning Bush came over. They are potential seminary students in high school. To cap that all off the interns took a little us time at the park and enjoyed the fireworks together. I slept soooo good that night.
