Gordon Meader's Biography
A native of Marshfield, Massachusetts, I am a born and bred member of Red Sox Nation. My mother, Tess, is a Special Education Aide at a local Elementary school in Marshfield, and my father, Geoff, is a lawyer with Looney and Grossman, LLP., in Boston. I have a brother named Nathaniel (Natty, Bumpo, Bug), who has just finished his freshman year at Ithaca College in New York, and a sister Kathryn (Kathryn...), who will be starting high school next year. I have a cat named Sassafras (Sassy for short), and a dog named Pupp (the last 'p' is for style). I enjoy getting whooped on in basketball, playing soccer, coffee, cities, the challenges of community living, thinking about writing stories, and using parentheses far too often. I will be a senior this coming year at the University of Richmond, with a major in English (which, one would think, would stave off my addiction to parentheses, but it hasn't).

After interning with CHAT last summer, I couldn't get enough, and am now going to be semi-overseeing the Intern program for this summer, helping newer interns make the transitions necessary for loving CHAT and being grunt laborers like myself. I'm very excited for the summer, coming into it with a renewed spirit, and feeling energized and motivated to work for our Father here! I'm excited to be stretched in the areas that I feel I was weak in last summer - namely, thinking outside myself and living the "why not?" philosophy (example: I'm going to the grocery store, and there's a kid that is hanging around - why not take them with me so we can hang out?). God is doing wonderful things in this city, and I am continually reminded that it is an honor for me to be taking part in His work - I am excited to live, love, and grow here throughout the summer! "I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free." Psalm 119:32 "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, 'Your God reigns!'" Isaiah 52:7
