After 15 years, it’s my last week as CEO of CHAT. I have to admit, it’s a bit surreal. But it’s also a great feeling, knowing that I can make this transition with full confidence that so many good things are ahead. I wanted to end my time with two quick things: A thank you, and a request.
First, thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. Everyone who has prayed, who has given, and who has volunteered. Whether near or far, old friends or new, you are knitted into my heart. You have walked alongside me during the low points as we buried kids that we had invested so much in. You have stood shoulder to shoulder with me as we celebrated achievements that I never thought were possible. Your partnership has meant more to me than any words could ever convey.
So, here’s the request: Keep on praying. Keep on giving. Keep on volunteering. Even more so in this season of transition. In the last 15 years, we’ve served over 500 youth, and there are so many more out there. We want to see every one of them living into the hope and the future that God has for them.
The end of the year is a critical time for us financially, as we prepare for the 2nd half of the school year. Nothing would mean more to me than to see this be the strongest month of giving we’ve ever had. What a gift it would be to make this transition knowing that CHAT is on solid financial footing for the work ahead.
Thank you again. I’m excited to see how you and I can continue to invest in our youth for years to come.
