Today was the first day of summer camp! I met with my little tykes huddle, and told them that we are a family and we’re going to stick together this summer. Only three came today, but we’re expecting maybe two more. I’d love to see the other kids here, but I’m also grateful for the smaller group size because it means more meaningful relationships with the few. On Wednesdays, we do group worship time and then take the kids to the pool. A few kids came up to me and asked me to teach them to swim. I taught them about how to kick and how to move their arms, and then held them and guided them while they gave it a try. I was really impressed by their drive to keep trying even when they didn’t get it. I told them that’d we work on it some more each week, so by the end of the summer, who knows? Maybe we’ll a have a few more swimmers. Stay posted forĀ more updates on my adventures with the kids!
